Insurance Inspection
Storm damage and insurance claim documentation specialists.
When a storm hits, your insurance claim is only as strong as the documentation behind it. NextGen HIG inspects specifically for insurance purposes — identifying wind, hail, and impact damage, documenting it in the detail carriers require, and meeting with your adjuster on-site.
We've worked with every major carrier in NJ, PA, and CT. We know what they scope, what they miss, and how to document findings in a way that gets approved the first time — not kicked back for more information.
Our inspection includes wind damage mapping, hail strike documentation, prior-repair identification, and a repair scope aligned to Xactimate line items. If your claim is denied or under-scoped, we document the supplemental claim too.
Every insurance inspection project includes
Storm Damage Assessment
Wind, hail, impact, and secondary damage documented with photos.
Xactimate-Aligned Scope
Damage mapped to industry-standard claim line items.
Adjuster Meeting
On-site meeting with your insurance adjuster (often the critical step).
Supplemental Claims
Documentation for items missed on the initial scope.
Written Report
Detailed report with photos and recommendations.
Direct Carrier Communication
Coordination with your carrier through claim approval and repair.
Signs you need insurance inspection
Catch these early and insurance inspection repairs stay simple — ignore them and you're paying for interior damage on top of the exterior fix.
Recent major wind or hail event in your area
If a nor'easter, microburst, tropical remnant, or hailstorm came through, an inspection is warranted even if you see no obvious damage. Hail bruising especially is invisible from the ground.
Neighbors filing storm claims
Storm damage is geographic. If neighbors within a block are filing and getting approved, your roof likely has similar damage signatures. Inspect before the carrier closes the window.
Missing shingles, torn gutters, or tree-strike damage
Visible damage after a storm is the most straightforward claim scenario. Document immediately — visible damage ignored for too long starts getting coded as wear-and-tear.
Interior leaks emerging in the weeks after a storm
Wind-lifted shingles can leak intermittently. If leaks start showing up after a storm, the storm is likely the cause — but documentation needs to happen fast.
Initial claim denied or underscoped
Denials and low-ball scopes are often reversible with proper documentation and a supplemental claim. Many of our engagements start here.
Insurance requesting more documentation
If the adjuster asked for photos, invoices, or a second opinion, a third-party insurance inspection closes the loop faster than going back and forth with the carrier.
