Warranty

Two warranties on every full install

Manufacturer coverage up to lifetime — plus our 10-year workmanship warranty. Registered in your name, with paperwork you keep.

How it works

Two layers of protection on every job

The manufacturer stands behind the materials. We stand behind the installation. Together, they cover nearly every failure mode on a roof, siding, or masonry system.

Manufacturer warranty

Covers the materials

  • Backed by GAF, Owens Corning, James Hardie, and other leading manufacturers
  • Coverage ranges from 25 years to lifetime depending on the system installed
  • Registered in your name — we submit the registration on your behalf after install
  • Transferable in most cases when you sell the home (see specific warranty terms)
  • Covers shingle defects, premature granule loss, wind performance, siding cracking or fading per the manufacturer's spec

Workmanship warranty

Covers how we installed it

  • 10-year workmanship warranty on every full installation
  • Repairs: documented warranty on the repair itself, typically 1-5 years depending on scope
  • Covers leaks caused by installation errors — flashing, underlayment, seams, penetrations
  • Written warranty certificate handed to you at project completion with photo documentation
  • Upgraded labor warranties available when we install a manufacturer-certified system

What's covered

  • Material defects (shingles, panels, membrane) per manufacturer terms
  • Leaks caused by installation error — flashing, underlayment, penetrations, seams
  • Wind damage at or below the rated wind speed of the installed system
  • Premature material failure (cracking, granule loss, delamination)
  • Ventilation defects caused by installation

What voids the warranty

  • Failure to perform manufacturer-required annual maintenance
  • Damage from acts of God beyond the rated threshold (tornadoes, hurricanes above Cat rating)
  • Modifications by another contractor without prior approval
  • Abuse, neglect, or intentional damage
  • Walking on roof in conditions that damage shingles (extreme heat/cold)
  • Installing satellite dishes, solar, or other equipment that compromises the roof envelope
Making a claim

If something goes wrong, here's what to do

  1. 1

    Call us first

Whether it's a leak, wind damage, or a material issue, call (201) 663-2997. We'll schedule a same-week inspection and determine whether the issue is under workmanship or manufacturer warranty.

  2. 2

    Inspection + documentation

We inspect the issue, photograph findings, and cross-reference against your original install records. Workmanship issues we resolve directly. Manufacturer issues we escalate with you.

  3. 3

    Manufacturer claim (if applicable)

For material defects, we file the manufacturer claim on your behalf with the original registration documents. The manufacturer evaluates and, if approved, supplies replacement material. We install it at labor rates per the warranty terms.

  4. 4

    Repair scheduled

Workmanship repairs are typically scheduled within two weeks. Manufacturer claims depend on their review cycle — usually 2-6 weeks.

Keep your warranty valid

Most manufacturer warranties require documented annual maintenance. Our Roof Care maintenance program handles that automatically — spring and fall inspections, photo reports, and minor repairs included. Skip maintenance for too many years and the manufacturer can deny claims when you need them most.

Warranty FAQ

Common questions

Is the warranty transferable when I sell my home?
Most manufacturer warranties transfer once, typically within a limited window after the sale. Our workmanship warranty is also transferable. Save the warranty paperwork — buyers ask for it, and it adds value at closing.
What if you install and later go out of business?
Our manufacturer-certified installs carry upgraded labor warranties underwritten by the manufacturer — so the labor coverage survives us. We're also not going anywhere — family-owned and operating since 2006.
Do I need to do anything to activate my warranty?
No. We register your manufacturer warranty and hand you the workmanship certificate at project completion. Keep the paperwork somewhere safe — that's it.
What about repairs — are those warrantied too?
Yes. Every repair comes with a written workmanship warranty (typically 1-5 years depending on scope) and photo documentation. Repairs don't carry manufacturer material warranty extensions.
Can I get my original warranty documents if I've lost them?
Yes — we keep copies of every install on file. Call or email with your property address and we'll send you copies.
