Clifton Colonial — Full Tear-Off & Architectural Reroof

Complete tear-off, deck repair, and architectural shingle installation on a 1950s colonial in Clifton, with upgraded ice & water shield and new chimney flashing.

Clifton colonial home with new architectural shingle roof

This 1950s colonial had been leaking around the chimney for two winters. The homeowner had patched twice with other contractors and the water kept coming back.

Our inspection found two issues: the chimney flashing was reused tar-and-prayer, and the deck around the chimney had delaminated from repeated moisture. We tore off the full roof, replaced four sheets of deck, installed new step and counter flashing, and finished with a GAF Timberline HDZ system registered under the homeowner's name.

Start to finish: three days. The leak is gone and the warranty paperwork is in the homeowner's filing cabinet.

Two other contractors said the flashing was fine. NextGen was the first one who actually climbed the chimney — and they fixed what the others missed.
